We had an opportunity to get cleaned up

last weekend.

I chose my retro hippie look

while Doug stayed close to home with his

blue paisley tie.

 

I love that tie.

We had just celebrated our 20th Anniversary.

Married 20 years.

In a row.

To each other.

 We were guests at a wedding that night.

A twenty something, adorable couple

much like we were 20 YEARS AGO.

 There will be much facing them

over the next 2 decades.

Much to tear them apart.

The world simply does not

make marriage easy

nor boast of its merits.

 

 Here's to a lovely beginning

for Josh and Casey.

Here's to commitment.

 And fidelity.

'Till death do us part.
