Cutie Pie

Remember back in July
when Franchesca was taking drivers training?
I could refer to the humid, mid 90 degree, sun shiny weather
but that would include every day from May through well,
last week.
Anyway.
This summer the girls have taken a liking to caring for this little guy.
(We do not use the term baby sitting for he is NOT a baby).

AJ spent a lot of time with him during drivers training
since we were so close to his house.
This particular day we picked him up
and he came along to pick up "Franjessca".
The heat was troubling for all of us
but playing with a ball while we waited
kept at least Cutie Pie (and I) less grumpy.
AJ and Solomon sat in the van with every window
and door open, pouting about the heat.
CAN YOU IMAGINE???
Me either.
Cutie Pie is fun to have in the vehicle.
Lots of questions.
My favorite from that day was
"Moose (AJ), why does everybody call you Moose"?

Last week they were at his house listening to a cd while playing.
The song was "Indescribable" in a kids version,
referring to God.
He loves to sing
and has the sweetest voice
and kept singing out "Interflamable" with the chorus
and chose not to believe the girls when they gently told him otherwise.

**************
Below is Solomon and a brother of Cutie Pie.
Lets call him Brother Blue Eyes.

After school got out, my friend and I took
these 2 boys out for some fun.
They got to choose. Everything.

Fish feeding frenzy at Craig's Cruisers.

All of these tickets were turned in a big bag of candy
and a tiny rubber ball.

 They initiated me, immersion style
to Culver's.
Good thing I was too carsick to be hungry
as their vegetarian selection is slim.
Lots of ketchup is very important at Culver's.

Now. The custard....
like velvet.

A lovely, hot summer night of fun.
Not what a ladies night out would look like,
but then.

"We Are Family"

The Wedding:
Installment: last

Mother of the Bride (and The Baby)

 A few a ma kin
(spell check didn't highlight that,
backwood is in)

I do not see all of them very often.
This was a happy occasion
and I was blessed to be present.
Below is a look at the aftermath.
Not of a tornado or hurricane or some such
natural disaster.
But that of grand, peace filled, joyous human affair
which was much anticipated, has come and gone
to leave the future to fill in the gap.
That truly was what the "day" was about~
the future, forever.
Thank you for following my walk
through "The Wedding"
and
to all those who made it all happen.

Photo less tonight

Some of my immediate family members
were in town this morning for what was first a call
for a peaceful human shield at a fallen soldiers funeral.

This shield was not necessary
because of what I believe was an outpouring
of love, patriotism, empathy, loyalty
and the goodness of the human spirit.

You can go to any local news site to view any number
of moving pictures.
Tonight though, this post is photo free,
just mere words to thank
Gunnery Sgt. Daniel Price
for his sacrifice for me
and for you
nay, our entire country.

It is written that greater love has no one than this, to lay down his life for his friends.
(paraphrase).
This post also comes on the heels
of watching Act of Valor
which reminded me too of the sacrifice
taking place everyday unnoticed to most including myself.
Some moments are to be captured not on film,
but behold them with flag held high,
hand resting on heart
and capture your thankfulness there.

Heartbroken for the Price family.

Let the Wild Rumpus Begin

The Wedding
Installment: "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing"

Mother/Son Shoes

I realize that those who reside in or come from WI
call themselves many different things.
At the risk of misstating or misspelling,
I will refer to them as "The Wisconsin Dancers".

Of course I would never want to be accussed of labeling
ALL from Wisconsin.
Certainly all did not dance
and all were not wild, rowdy and fun-
giving WISCONSIN ONLY names to their dance moves,
claiming their own developer rights to certain moves
among them "The Lawnmover".

They truely were a special edition to the entertainment
and I'm certain that if they happend to all be in the area next summer,
my sister would put her radio out on the front porch,
light a few candles, offer some iced tea and dance the night away with them.
I might even use that as an excuse to get my heels out and make the short drive up.

Bets on how old the bartender is.

Our love, knows no bounds.
Hear it ring through the hills and canyons,
Isn't love profound?"

Our love, knows no bounds,
it confounds the wisest of sages,
baby isn't love profound"?
