I was downtown Grand Rapids yesterday
getting my hair cut.
On my ride back toward the lake
this is what my van read:
This summer has been a series of non-stop activity.
To the point of becoming overwhelming.
This morning the girls and I woke up early, fed the animals
threw on shorts, tank top, hat and sunglasses
and headed out to our favorite beach for rocks.
Not all beaches along this coast boast rocks.
Like the one we spent the hot, hazy Independence Day playing at.
That is another post altogether
and right now I need to head over to All Things Equine
as I have many back posts waiting.
The last two nights alone I edited 2 horse shows, basketball camp,
4th of July and a day at the pool.
My trash had 399 pics in it that I didn't want.
I've been shooting lots of pics.
This morning was one of my favorite times this summer.
Last night was another.
While working on my photos, I heard Nathan loudly mutter
"Oh Great".
I looked up at the clock, noticed it was 10:30 and immediately knew
we were out of popcorn.
It has been a night time ritual to plug the hot air popper in
for more years than I care to recount.
I was in boxers and a tee shirt so I told him I would ride shotgun
if he would go in.
Riding at night, with my bare feet out the window, with good music lulling me into
relaxation and the Jeep reading 86 degrees at 10:30p.m.
The moon was gorgeous but my Iphone can
hardly do it justice.
Now that is summer. That is happiness.
That is me.
